The value of resilience was Ashlynn Park’s message from her lookbook presentation. We see a lot of deconstructed pieces in her 2023 Spring Summer Womens Runway Collection during New York Fashion Week and the American Collections Calendar hosted by the CFDA. Take note of what’s hot.

Pantsuit Riot: These trouser suits had a different design for their blazers. The first jacket was a cross wrap cutout. The other is also a cut out cropped top but with a draped sash lapel.
One Direction: An asymmetrical style with an overstitched extra hem ran down from the right shoulder to the slit line at the bottom. A black shift dress and a cap sleeve uneven blouse were on display.
Deconstructed: Deconstruction still lingered for this season collection. A hybrid vest blazer had unfinished touches over a white shirtdress. A blazer showed the scissor cutout coupled with an inside-out appeal.
Crinkle Cut Ruffles: Draped frills cascading through the hemline with a Victorian motif and a midriff cut looked casual with a wide leg palazzo pants. A deconstructed strapless top with draped sleeves was a good combination for a full sheer tulle skirt in tiered ruffles.
Puff Ball: The poufy shoulders, puff sleeves and slightly leg-o’mutton shapes were the priority for a long sleeve blouse, black shift dress, bomber blouse and bomberdress.
