Denim & Jeanswear 2013-14 Fall Winter Womens I MBFW Tokyo
Set your trendsetting ways through the 2013-2014 Fall Winter runways on womenswear. We have scoured and selected for you the various denim apparel and jeanswear pieces featured on the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo – Japan Fashion Week catwalks. Eri Utsugi and the Mercibeaucoup brand featured a Brazil themed collection with a lot of layering, mixed prints, polka dots, soccer ball patterns, flags, mermaids and flowers. Jeanswear focused on multi-paneled fabrics, utility pockets and straight wide cuts. Other denim pieces included a long tapered below the knee pleated shorts with rear pockets on the knees, a balloon patchwork textured paneled long shorts, a printed slim legging jeans with a lace tie up attachment on the bottom hem and a skirt-trapeze-pants combo with large thigh pockets and slanted sectionals. On the other hand, Motonari Ono presented a Bohemian antique market classic feel mixed with a regal Victorian vibe. Jeanswear focused on Baroque ornamental embroidery, tuxedo stripes and a clean dark indigo denim. There were cute short shorts or skirts in floral prints. Finally, TAE ASHIDA showcased sleek motorcycle biker pants in smooth leather, stretch fabrics, multi-paneled sectionals on inner thighs, knees and side calves. Colors were deep, dark and subdued. These sleek pairs were great complements for printed tops, modern jackets and chunky furry outerwear. (1-3) Mercibeaucoup
