Our friends from the showroom booth, with the courtesy of Alissa Friedman and Eryne Ordel, graciously gave us a sneak peak at some highlights from Mavi’s 2013 Spring Summer and 2013-2014 Fall Winter collection during the Project Tradeshow – Magic Market Week in Las Vegas last week. From the stand selection, we curated and hand picked our top fashion pieces for the seasons .
For Spring womenswear, Mavi embarked on a designer collaboration with Londoner Hussein Chalayan. Deep indigo styles combined with the signature ribbons of bonded tape, elastic bands and mesh panels became a design staple exploring on skinny or high waisted jeans, shorts, shift dresses and denim tops. Other trendy womens design features included a motorcycle knee paneled biker jeans with a retro acid wash fade effect, shiny metallic gloss on legging trousers and the unique embossed print effect or digital printed fabric such as Baroque or zigzag pattern on jeans.
On the other hand, notable style accents for menswear comprised of a vintage denim jacket with unique front pocket design and rich rustic wash or a modern blue grey wash with distinct detailing on the coin slip, back loop and rear pockets.
