In a controversial move, Philipp Plein showcased their 2013-2014 Fall Winter Mens Runway Collection during Milan Fashion Week. Amidst the state of affairs happening recently in the United States and the world, the fashion show pushed through a stylistic military invasion with guns, rifles, tattoos, teddy bears and Batman’s supervillain Bane-like vibe. The anti Dark Knight crime mob strut through the runway donning fashion forward outerwear and denim pieces. Style highlights included thick ribbed inlays of collars and cuffs, ripped and destroyed jeans, studded or animal print slip-on dress loafers, militaristic headgear with metal adornments, heat reflective inner layer of coats and camo chunky knit patterns. Multi-paneling of fabrics came into full view with jackets mixed in camouflage print, wool and ribbed knits or coat/blazer x varsity jacket combo and pea coat x biker leather mix. It was an urban jungle and a fashion guerrilla warfare out there but they kept on fighting for real love.
